Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between Kordo LLC (“Kordo”, “we”) and you. By creating an account or using Kordo, you agree to them. If you use Kordo on behalf of an organization, you're agreeing for that organization and confirming you have the authority to do so. We've kept these short and readable on purpose — the summary is: pay for what you use, own what you upload, don't abuse the service, and we'll be straight with you.

Your account

Sign-in is by one-time email link or Google. Anyone with access to your email inbox can access your Kordo account, so keep your email secure. Organization owners and admins control their workspace: who is invited, what they're assigned, their roles, and their records. If you're a learner, your organization administers your account.

Trial, billing, and cancellation

New workspaces get a 14-day free trial with no card required. After the trial, continued use requires a paid subscription, billed monthly at the rates and limits (seats, AI credits) displayed at checkout. You can cancel anytime from Billing; access continues to the end of the paid period, and we don't give pro-rata refunds for partial months. If a payment fails, our payment processor retries automatically; if it keeps failing, the workspace may be restricted until payment succeeds. We'll give existing subscribers advance notice before any price change that affects them.

Your content

Everything your organization uploads or creates in Kordo — documents, courses, policies, images — belongs to your organization. You give us permission to host, process, and display it, and to send it to our AI providers, solely to provide the service (for example, turning an uploaded handbook into a course). We don't use your content to train AI models, and our AI providers are contractually restricted from doing so with API content. You're responsible for having the rights to what you upload.

Training records

Completion records, quiz results, acknowledgments, and certificates are kept as your organization's compliance history. Archiving a member frees their seat but deliberately preserves their records — that permanence is a feature of the product, and your organization controls it. Owners and admins can export records at any time.

Acceptable use

Use Kordo lawfully and don't: attempt to access other organizations' data, resell the service, disrupt it, upload malicious or unlawful content, or use the AI features at volumes plainly beyond your plan's intent. If an account threatens the service or other customers we may suspend it, with notice when practical.

What we promise — and what we don't

We work hard to keep Kordo fast, correct, and available, and we monitor it around the clock. But it's provided “as is”: we don't offer a formal SLA, and we can't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. AI-generated content can be wrong — review courses before you publish them; your organization is responsible for the accuracy of its own training material.

Liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to Kordo is capped at the fees your organization paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and neither side is liable to the other for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited.

Ending the agreement

You can cancel your subscription anytime — and cancelling erases nothing. Your workspace and its records remain in place (with paid features paused) so you can export them or pick the subscription back up later. Closing the account is a separate, explicit step: ask us at support@getkordo.com and we'll delete your organization's data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may terminate accounts that materially breach these terms or remain unpaid after notice.

Changes and the law

If we change these terms meaningfully, we'll post the change here and notify account owners; continued use means acceptance. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, and disputes belong to the state or federal courts located in Wyoming.
